Buddhist Festival & Lakes Trip 2003 Another year, another festival and another excuse to visit the fantastic Lake District for more meditation and sight-seeing. Michelle and I spent almost two weeks enjoying the very hot weather in the Lakes. Much of the time was spent at the Priory for some Buddhist reflection. (see http://www.manjushri.org.uk for more details) where we camped with the moles. We bought an enormous 5-man tent for the purpose. Each morning there would be a new bump under the tent where the poor moles tried to come up. I expect they were glad to see the back of us!
We took a few days out to visit Keswick where we checked out the Motor Museum (Del Boy's van, Batmobile, A-Team van etc.), the Puzzling world and even managed to persuade Michelle to do a bit of hiking - although a little too hot for such strenuous pursuits really. We (well only me if the truth be known) cooled off in the lake (Derwent Water).
