This
has to be one of my favourite parts of my round the world trip without a
doubt. It was here we met Orang Utans, Turtles (even held a baby turtle),
carnivorous plants, climbed an incredible mountain and enjoyed the
wonderful rainforests and friendly people. There is so much to see and do
here and one month really wasn't enough.
There
are so many treks and climbs, and such a diversity in flora and fauna, and
amazing culinary delights that you'd be hard pushed not to enjoy your
experience there. The only down point for me, although more embarrassing
than anything was when we were under attack from secardas (very big
noisy insects) in our room. I was too scared to catch or even go
near the thing and I'm sure it screamed when I tried to brush it off after
it landed on me. Eventually the resort staff had to come in and bash them
with an umbrella.
