South
of France October 2002
Tim,
a former work colleague, let us borrow his pad in the South of France, La
Capelle to be exact, for a week of autumn sunshine. It is a very beautiful
part of France with wonderful views, lots of history (particularly Roman),
nice food and as much fine wine as you can drink. After a panic about
having no water (Calvin couldn't find the stop cock!), we begun the
holiday checking out the local sites such as the amazing Pont du Gard,
Arles, Orange and Avignon.
With
Michelle ever in search of beaches, glitz and glamour we set off for the tree hour
drive to Cannes to enjoy a slice of the high-life. We also decided to stop off at St. Tropez on the way back.
Sounds like a simple plan but be assured that there were plenty of stressful driving
moments including driving on the wrong side of the road stopping all the
traffic coming in the opposite direction...
Anyway,
without further ado, here are the pics...
