The
day of the wedding was warm and sunny, which was a good thing considering
there had been torrential rain and storms the previous evening. However James
awoke with somewhat of a hangover from the previous evening's drinking
session and apparently it took some time to get him moving on the morning
of his big day.
By the time the moment arrived his was in fine shape - or at least he put
on a very good show!
The
ceremony was mercifully short and marred only by Nathaniel's (Jamie &
Judith's offspring) perpetual farting on the back row - or was it Jamie?
And the songs we had never heard of so couldn't sing along to. The ceremony
was even shorter for Vincent and Lisa who managed to make it just in time
for the signing of the register.
Best
man Andy was compassionate with his speech - James appeared to get off relatively
lightly judging by the number of embarrassing stories Andy has on him. The
evening disco provided all that is required of a wedding bash, playing
music that you wouldn't dream of dancing to on any other occasion. Roger
did a great job playing wedding photographer (actually that's his job!)
and even if I do say so myself, I think Massimo and I put on a splendid
ushering performance.
